The STIHL MS 291 is a practical all-round semi-professional chainsaw for farmers, landscapers and gardeners – from felling and logging to cutting timber.

Specifications

  • Engine: 55.5cc STIHL 2-MIX two-stroke
  • Power: 2.8 kW / 3.8 hp
  • Guide bar: 16" (40 cm) or 18" (45 cm) – choose above

Why the MS 291

  • 2-MIX engine – up to 20% less fuel and up to 50% fewer emissions than STIHL's conventional two-strokes
  • Long-life air filter system
  • Professional anti-vibration with buffer zones between engine and handles
  • One-piece engine cover for fast routine maintenance
  • Quick-release tank caps and semi-transparent fuel tank
  • Side-mounted chain tensioner (combination tool included)

Cutting length is always slightly shorter than the nominal guide-bar length.

Safety: chainsaws are dangerous tools. Read the STIHL instruction manual before first use, get proper instruction and always wear chainsaw protective clothing (helmet with visor and ear defenders, gloves, cut-resistant trousers and boots).
